What's New

Recently Completed:

Falkirk Mansion, San Rafael, California

Although the Falkirk Mansion was built in 1888, the library wallpaper shown here, was not installed until the early 1900's and recently reproduced by Carter & Company. This beautiful tone on tone pattern is one of the finest examples we have seen of the Arts and Crafts style. We intend to develop a range of additional colorways for this paper, and will feature them as they become available.

In Progress:

Alpine Hose Co. #2 Firehouse, Georgetown, CO

Shown here is the wallfill from a romset consisting of 7 separate patterns: dado, trim, border wallfill, frieze, ceiling border and ceiling. The documents of these patterns were found installed in an 1880's firehouse in Georgetown, Colorado. All of the patterns have been reproduced and are currently in the final strike-off stage. We will be featuring the complete roomset on this page in the near future.

In Progress:

Campbell House, Spokane, Washington

Carter & Company has been working with the Campbell House on several projects during the past 10 years. The Turkish Wall is the final pattern to be reproduced and will be installed in the servant's dining room. Other papers reproduced for this project can be found in our catalogue. The Campbell House is now part of the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture in Spokane, Washington.
