Join us for a book signing and sake tasting with Yoko Kumano and Kayoko Akabori, founders of the beloved Oakland shop Umami Mart. Drawing on more than a decade of experience sourcing, tasting, and teaching sake, their new book, Everyday Sake, is an approachable guide to choosing, pairing, and enjoying sake with confidence.
Meet Yoko and Kayoko, enjoy a welcome pour, and have your copy signed. Casa de Kei will also be popping up with fish and vegetarian chirashi bentos available by preorder.
This is a free event. Books and bentos may be purchased below for pickup at Carter & Co on August 22.
